Rock quarries usually operate for at least 100 years and are developed in distinct benches or steps. A controlled explosion is used to release the rock from the working face. It is then transported by truck or conveyor to a crusher to go through a series of crushing and screening stages to produce a range of final sizes to suit customers needs.
The quarry currently employs over 100 skilled workers and we are proud of our professional levels of production and safety. This facility has consistently won awards for the high levels of production and health and safety awareness. The Group has rock reserves to last at today’s production rate for approximately another 70 years.
